Should I Home School

This is a decision each family has to answer, even if they don't realize it. You can send you children to public school, private school (including private tutor), or home school. Each child in the USA is educated in one of these forms.

Your answer may be different for each of your children depending on the individual needs of each child. Below are some questions you and your spouse can use to help you in the decision making process.

1. How is your child's education now?
  A. Is he behind?
  B. Is he average?
  C. Is he ahead?

2. How is your child's behavior?
  A. Is he polite?
  B. Is he rude?
  C. Is he hyper?
  D. Can he pay attention during conversations?

3. Is your child asking you to homeschool?

4. Does your child have special needs of any kind?

5. Do you feel there is a need for some sort of educational change?

6. What are the priorities when it comes to your child's education?
 A. Does sports play a role in the priorities?
 B. If so, how high on the list is it?

7. Most importantly, have you prayed about it? None of these questions should be answered until you have asked God what to do.

Other than God, there is no one that can tell you what you should do. Oh, that is not to say they will not try, but they have no right to unless you have asked them about their opinion. Ultimately, the choice is yours to make.
